    • From: W. L. Irish - He was a Marine bomber pilot. Was killed in Korea.
    • Captain Clark was the pilot of a F9F-2 Pantherjet fighter with the Marine Fighter Squadron 311, Marine Air Group 33, 1st Marine Air Wing. On December 5, 1952, while on a combat mission, his aircraft dove on a target, it was hit by anti-aircraft fire, exploded and crashed. He was listed as Missing in Action and was presumed dead on December 14, 1953. For his leadership and valor, Captain Clark was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross with Gold Star, the Air Medal with 4 Gold Stars, the Purple Heart, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
