  Notes	From: W. L. Irish - David Irish and family settled in Groveland Twp. Oakland County, Michigan in 1837. He purchased 80 acres for each of his 8 sons and 40 acres for each of his 2 daughters. One of his sons, Norman, brought a wife and three children with him to Michigan, and was killed a number of years later by a kick of a horse. Two of his sons, Damon and George, were living in the same neighborhood in 1877. Damon Irish of Groveland Twp., paid a bounty of $14 for a volunteer to serve in the Civil War in 1864. From: Joe Travis Note that all children are shown as those of first wife, Sally, and her birth date shown as 'abt. 1786'. Also note that that the 1st child is shown as Norman [#3476] b. 1-16-1806 and the 12th and last child is shown as Norman P. [#3498] b. 7-29-1846. This would make her about age 20 at the birth of first child, Norman, but about age 57 at birth of 11th. child, Job, and 60 at the time Norman P. was born. This seems unlikely. Push her age at the date of birth of Norman back to 16 - and it is still unlikely. Date of birth of 2nd wife, Delilah, is given as 1800 [but with the comment 'No issue']. However, she would have been age 43 and 46 at the birth of the last two children [more likely].
